For the longest time I've wanted to do a story about motorsports. I've been into car culture and motor racing since I was very young, partially influenced by my father. And as I grew up, I started understanding more about racing drivers like that, about the constant battle with pressure and self doubt, about having one's prime years wasted in inferior machinary, about highest of highs followed by the lowest of lows, about spending your entire life doing one thing then realizing your limit, and the powerlessness that comes with it. When you're in an academic environment surrounded by talented artists, sometimes you can't stop feeling like an art school is just like a paddock, and you would start to succumb to those feelings. In a way, the story of the Moldovian driver, Adrian Pascari, is the story about myself.
(The comic was made in black and white, with a colored version of the first 9 pages. It was colored in full during my 2023 revision. The story would later continue in The Speed of Life.)
